After purchasing a specific edition of Cerberus FTP Server, users will be emailed a license code that can be used to turn the trial version of Cerberus FTP Server into a fully licensed and functional Personal, Standard, or Professional version. No new installation is necessary. The license code will work with any version of Cerberus released within one year of the purchase date of the license. If the 2 year Service Agreement is purchased, the provided license code will work on any version of Cerberus FTP Server released within 2 years of the license purchase date.

Note: The software itself never expires, just the ability to update to the latest version expires. When your free support period is over you can purchase a new license code if you wish to continue receiving free updates.

Purchasing a license for Cerberus FTP Server includes one year of free technical support and major and minor upgrades from the date of purchase. By adding the 2 year Service Agreement, users get an additional year of free technical support and upgrades at a substantial discount over the normal purchase price of a new license.

When you purchase a 2 year Service Agreement you will receive a license code that will work with all versions of Cerberus released within two years of your actual purchase date. With the 2 year Service Agreement option you will be elligible for free support and upgrades for two years from your purchase date. There will be no need to request a new license key with the next major release as Cerberus will automatically recognize and allow you to upgrade your installation. If you wish to continue receiving free support and upgrades after your 2 year Service Agreement expires you can purchase another license for Cerberus and simply enter the new license key in Cerberus FTP Server.
